While the names change, the positions are really just alternating at this point.
Are the Arizona Cardinals going to take a cornerback, a quarterback, or a linebacker? That seems to be the consensus at this point, but we will see what happens on April 27th, but for now Dan Kadar of SB Nation has the Arizona Cardinals taking a cornerback with the 13th pick, one we haven’t yet discussed.
13. Arizona Cardinals: Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama
Outside of Patrick Peterson, the Cardinals don’t have a lot of talent at cornerback. While this leaves them scrambling to a degree on quarterback, they could target a player like Davis Webb of California in the second round.
Humphrey is a tantalizing size, speed talent and he is young. Like 20 years old young.
He is my conrer two in this draft and this pick would make sense to me... In round two.
You see, despite playing for Alabama and starting a barrage of big games, Humprhey lacks the refinement of other corners in this class.
He relies on his incredible athleticism too much and doesn’t know how to turn and find the ball when it is in the air quite yet.
Humphrey is a talent, but he is also a projection and at 13, that is worrisome too me.
