One of the bigger, no pun intended, story lines in the NFC West in 2017 is how these one year “prove it” deals work out for the Arizona Cardinals rivals, the Seattle Seahawks.
The Seahawks signed some good names, who haven’t exactly played up to their billing over the last couple of seasons.
Maybe no shadow looms larger over the NFC West than that of uber talented running back Eddie Lacy.
Lacy is one of the many solutions the Seahawks are trying at running back, the question with Lacy has never been about skill though, it has always been about keeping his weight in check.
Well, through part one of the offseason, he has done just that, and been handsomely rewarded.
The #Seahawks just paid Eddie Lacy $55,000 for losing about 14lbs. That's about $3928 per pound. Sign me up for that weight-loss program.

While the weight is still absurd for a running back, the Cardinals don’t have an ILB that weighs that much, it could be an issue to keep an eye, because he was an issue when he last played the Cardinals with the Packers in the 2015 NFL playoffs, where he ran for 89 yards on only 12 carries.
Of course... Twitter had fun with Lacy’s weigh in too:
