Here is a quote from Bruce Arians after Tuesday’s practice, previously published by Jess Root of Cardswire.
“He’s shown up a lot a lot already,” said Arians. “It’s a tough room to crack, but he’s off on a good start.”
Just a couple days after Arians praised William’s solid practice and picking up the Cardinals playbook quickly, in a way inking the deal was a reward for his efforts. Though a deal was going to happen regardless.
Last week the team was able to ink deals with three members of their 2017 draft class. T.J. Logan (5th), Will Holden (5th), Rudy Ford (6th), and now Chad Williams have signed their four-year rookie contracts.
That leaves Haason Reddick (1st), Budda Baker (2nd), and Dorian Johnson (4th) as the remaining members of the Cardinals 2017 draft class that have yet to sign with the team. Expect their contracts to be finished and signed in the next couple of weeks.
