The end to the 2016 season for David Johnson was really a microcosm of the Arizona Cardinals season.
Promise that came crashing down. While the Arizona Cardinals went on to win, rather easily, they lost Johnson to an injury that looked much worse than it was.
However, during the 2016 season David Johnson had 15 games where he had 100 or more yards from scrimmage, tied for the most in NFL history.
When the NFL.com account posted a question on their Twitter account about what David Johnson could do next, the running back was not shy about his own aspirations:
2016 @DavidJohnson31: 15 straight games with 100+ scrimmage yards (t-most in NFL history)

It was a simple statement, but one that speaks volumes to what Johnson believes he can do moving forward.
Getting over 100+ yards from scrimmage in every game of the season would be an NFL record, but it would also show the focus the Arizona Cardinals offense is putting on David Johnson, which is the key to the seasons success in my opinion.
From what we have seen of David Johnson through two seasons, I have little reason to believe he won’t accomplish his goal in 2017.
