NFL touchdown celebrations are back in 2017

Let’s celebrate the celebrations being back.

The NFL, or no fun league to many, is allowing the players to have a little fun again.

At the NFL Owners meetings, the owners voted to allow touchdown celebrations once again in the NFL.

It isn’t all good though:

But they’re not going to completely surrender their reputation as the No Fun League. Anything with a little too much sexiness is still going to be verboten, stuff like twerking, hip thrusting, crotch grabbing, etc. Also banned still is anything involving a player mimicking a weapon (no bow-and-arrow shoots) or “prolonged” celebrations (gotta keep that clock moving).

It is nice to see the NFL relaxing, just a bit, on what has been too much of an emphasis on taking individuality out of the game.

While we all very much appreciate the stoic nature of Larry Fitzgerald after each and every touchdown catch, it is fun to let your hair down.

Much more of this in 2017 for the Arizona Cardinals and John Brown.

Maybe not too much of this:

More of this in the NFL:
