The Arizona Cardinals are making quick work of their 2017 NFL Draft class, having signed now six of their seven picks.
Budda Baker, the dynamic, playmaking defensive back from the University of Washington is now under contract with the Arizona Cardinals.
From the team:
"Baker (5-10, 195) was a first-team All-American selection and was a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award (nation’s top defensive player) and the Jim Thorpe Award (nation’s top defensive back) as a junior in 2016 after he led the Huskies with 71 tackles and 10 tackles for loss to go along with a career-high three sacks, two interceptions, eight passes defensed and a forced fumble in 14 games. In three seasons at Washington, Baker started all 40 games he played in and totaled 200 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, five interceptions, four sacks, 24 passes defensed, and three forced fumbles. His real first name is Bishard, but he was given the nickname 'Budda' as a child by his mom and aunt."
No rookie has me more excited than Baker, who was one of my favorite prospects in the entire 2017 NFL Draft.
