Todd McShay's way to early 2018 mock draft has the Arizona Cardinals getting offensive line help

New, comments

The Cardinals are in the playoffs and out of range for a quarterback, so they get offensive line help.

It is too early for this.

I don't like it one bit.

I refuse to be a part of this.

23. Arizona Cardinals Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre DameThe Cardinals will probably be in the QB market, but I'm not comfortable putting a name here that I'll regret three weeks from now, when I actually have time to watch the tape (as was the case with Mitch Leidner last year). McGlinchey had a chance to be a first-rounder this season, but he opted to return to school.

Here is the good news, McShay thinks the Arizona Cardinals make the playoffs in 2017. I'd say most would agree they are one of several teams who could be dancing again in 2017. They have a veteran laden team at important positions with an infusion of youth in key areas.

The bad news. The Cardinals didn't win the Super Bowl and in fact, they get eliminated and have to watch their division rivals lose another Super Bowl to the Patriots.

As for the actual pick.

It'd be McGlinchey taking over for Jared Veldheer on the right side of the offensive line and the Cardinals continuing to build the offense for whenever they decide to invest in a QB.

What do you think?
