The Arizona Cardinals have had their eye on 6-8 free agents available, one of which was Jeremy Maclin, depending on the reports you read.
Well, Jeremy Maclin is no longer available, as he has signed a two year agreement with the Baltimore Ravens according to Adam Schefter.
A two year deal is the optimal length of a contract for any team signing Maclin, no matter what the compensation ended up being (within reason).
The Arizona Cardinals allegedly liked Maclin, according to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports.
Cardinals are interested in recently released wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.

This was of course debunked by longtime beat guy, Kent Somers:
Cardinals have no interest in Jeremy Maclin, per NFL source.

No matter their interest, it wasn't enough to sway Maclin or the team to make a move.
That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it would have made sense for AZ to bring in a veteran with a track record of production to lessen the burden on John Brown, J.J.Nelson and the other young guys.
However, it had to be at the right cost.
Either way, that dreams over.
