Why I followed the Arizona Cardinals from St. Louis - HMinus

I grew up 60 miles SE of St. Louis in Southern Illinois & would always observe my Dad yelling at the television when the football game was on. I started watching the games with him in 1976 & soon discovered the reason for all the excitement. After watching Jim Hart throwing to Mel Grey and seeing Terry Metcalf run for big yardage, I was hooked.

I continued to watch the games, now with increasing frequency and soon couldn't be persuaded to miss a game.

After I joined the Air Force in 1981 I kept watching the Cards games with Neil Lomax & Roy Green & stayed glued to the tube to enjoy their high octane scoring & heroics.

When the team moved to AZ in 1988 I was surprised, but determined I would continue to watch the team regardless of where they relocated too.

In 1998 i enjoyed watching Jake the snake lead the Cards to a great win over the Cowboys and then get stomped the next game in Minnesota.

Except for 2010 and 2012 I have been enjoying the NEW Cards under Michael Bidwill and look forward to another Super Bowl appearance in the near future...GO CARDS!!!
