What is Steve Keim's biggest miss since becoming GM?

What pick or free agency signing was the biggest mistake for the Arizona Cardinals?

The Arizona Cardinals have found the most success in their tenure in the desert under the leadership of Steve Keim.

He has placed himself as one of the better general managers in the NFL, and made the Cardinals a team not to be mocked.

However, Keim has made some mistakes and has some bad draft selections.

That begs the question… which draft pick or free agent acquisition is the one you'd like to change the most?

You can look at the Jonathan Cooper pick and lament it, but who are you picking instead? Maybe you take one of the two young cornerbacks, Xavier Rhodes or Desmond Trufant, maybe you can tell me about Sheldon Richardson, but with Daryl Washington on the team at the time and the team knowing they wanted to make a run at Tyrann Mathieu, it would have been a tough decision.

Although I feel like the misses will be Cooper or not drafting a quarterback, maybe you'll get not giving Dansby some extra money, my biggest miss is simple.

Passing on Jamie Collins for Kevin Minter in the 2013 NFL Draft.

First off, I had Minter ranked over Collins as well so know this is with much hindsight, but looking back, picking Minter over Collins, maybe a top five linebacker in the NFL is bad.

Minter was the prototype linebacker coming out. He moved well enough, was a tackling machine and gave you what everyone wanted next to Daryl Washington, a hammer.

Collins, meanwhile was Haason Reddick before Reddick. A pass rusher/off ball hybrid, Collins lacked the refined positional value of a Minter, but played at a higher level, 10 sacks and 20 tackles for a loss in his senior season, while offering athletic upside. At 6-3 250lbs, Collins was bigger, longer and faster than Minter.

Looking back, more than Le’Veon Bell, more than passing on Derek Carr, more than drafting Troy Niklas, Collins looms the largest for me.

What about you?
