The Arizona Cardinals continue to churn the bottom of their roster, opening up three spots with the release of quarterbacl Zac Dysert, along with safeties Drico Johnson and Cyril Noland-Lewis.
Dysert was on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad before being brought up to the active roster.
He has been a part of six teams, never having thrown a pass in his career.
As for Johnson and Noland-Lewis, both signed with the team in May as undrafted rookie free agents, but did not show enough over their short stint.
The release of Johnson and Noland-Lewis is not surprising, but to see Dysert let go this early means a couple of things.
- The Cardinals like Blaine Gabbert way more than Dysert
- The Cardinals want to get a look at Trevor Knight.
Now, neither of these things really matter, outside of Arizona wants to see more from Gabbert and Knight, and Dysert was standing between them and more throws.
Can Gabbert and Knight both make the roster?
Good luck to Dysert, Johnson and Noland-Lewis in their future.
