Among Arizona Cardinals fans there is a concern about the secondary and how it will function in 2017.
The Cardinals lost Tony Jefferson, D.J. Swearinger and Marcus Cooper this offseason, which is a big deal.
However, they have addressed these losses in free agency and the draft, but most of all, they are hoping for health.
That leads us to the Sports on Earth article by Kenneth Arthur ranking the NFL secondaries.
Arthur gives a brief synopsis to go along with his rankings:
6. Cardinals: Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, Antoine Bethea, Brandon Williams, Budda Baker, Justin Bethel, Tyvon Branch, Johnathan Ford
Peterson and Mathieu are stars, though replacing safety Tony Jefferson may be easier said than done. Baker appears to be a solid get in round two.
Sixth is honestly higher than I expected. Peterson is a star, Mathieu can be when healthy, but no one else has really shown anything in the NFL, so to see them get that ranking is fantastic.
Arthur has these secondaries ranked ahead of the Cardinals:
What do you think? Is the Arizona Cardinals secondary going to be that good?
