Arizona Cardinals cut center, add linebacker on day one of training camp

The Cardinals are already making moves.

Hours into their first day at training camp and the Arizona Cardinals and Steve Keim are already making moves.

The team announced that they have cut rookie undrafted free agent center Lucas Crowley to sign rookie undrafted free agent linebacker Tevin Floyd.

From the team:

"Floyd (6-1, 238) is a rookie free agent from The Citadel who started in all 12 games last season for the Bulldogs and was selected first-team All-Southern Conference after finishing second on the team with 86 tackles to go along with two sacks, and one fumble recovery. He finished his college career with 295 tackles, the third most in school history after playing in 49 games (38 starts) as a three-year starter."

Floyd was with the team during the May mini-camp, but wasn't offered a contract.

The move is one that… well I'm not sure.

Is the team just wanting more depth at inside linebacker for the Hall of Fame Game with Karlos Dansby not playing or is there something more?

Needless to say, the bottom of the 90 man roster is already churning and won't stop anytime soon.
