The biggest news to come out of the first official press conference for the 2017 season is that the Arizona Cardinals are not going to be overworking their veterans in 2017 NFL preseason.
Arians said Carson Palmer will not play in the Hall of Fame game. Neither will Larry Fitzgerald. #CardsCamp

This isn't really a surprise, the Cardinals will play five preseason games with the addition of the Hall of Fame Game, and their veterans usually only play in three of them.
Giving Palmer, Fitzgerald as well as Karlos Dansby the game off means more reps and work for Blaine Gabbert, Chad Williams and Scooby Wright.
Arians, "(Palmer) won't play in the Hall of Fame Game"; added Fitzgerald and perhaps Dansby will be held out of preseason opener#CardsCamp

We will see some of the starters, but not much in preseason game one, which is why I think this benefits Wright more than Reddick.
He will move up a spot on the depth chart for one game and get some first and second quarter snaps.
Not much else to take from day one press conference. A lot of talk about 2016 and how that plays into 2017, which is disappointing but not surprising.
New year, new team.
