Brandon Flowers to meet with Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday

The Cardinals are looking at veteran corner help... Again.

NFL: Preseason-Arizona Cardinals at San Diego Chargers Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals are not done building their 2017 roster, this is something we knew before training camp even started.

However, we did not know what position or positions would be a priority for the Cardinals.

After two non-padded practices, we have our answer.

Brandon Flowers is a physical, veteran corner who has been extremely successful in the NFL, but has battled injuries the last several years.

Flowers graded out higher than Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowl alternate corner Marcus Cooper in 2016, but that doesn't matter if you cannot stay on the field.

Flowers age, 31 and injury history are tough to ignore.

Look at how his snap count has falled each of the last three years:

2016: 351 snaps 33%

2015: 603 snaps 60%

2014: 818 snaps 78%

If the Cardinals are to sign Flowers, it is a risk, but also could pay high dividends.

The one thing they can offer that the Patriots can't is competition at the second cornerbacks spot.

Is that enough to persuade Flowers to play here over New England?

Is Arizona really that interested or are they just kicking the tires?

What do you think?
