There is nothing better in sports than day one of pads in football. At every level, it is a joy to behold the first day of hitting, because adrenaline is at its peak.
Now, for the Cardinals, day one of hitting is out of the way and it is time to get to work.
Although, there were some great sites from day three of camp, let’s get to the recap.
Drew Stanton, Jaron Brown will have scheduled day off today.

Getting Blaine Gabbert reps and taking it slow with Jaron Brown it seems.
Arians, "He has been disruptive" re: Nkemdiche; he learned "what pro football is all about" last season#CardsCamp

Spoke to a couple of players abt how Robert Nkemdiche has looked in practice "disruptive & is practicing with "energy" Off to a good start.

It is always fun to see the coach highlight a player before practice, then watch him kick ass in practice:
Rob Nkemdiche having some nice moments. Consistently penetrating into backfield on run and pass plays, albeit against backup OL.

Arians called Nkemdiche "disruptive" this morning; here he is vs. Bergstrom#CardsCamp pic.twitter.com/ZGTPgmkvQF

While we wait for the games to start, there may not be a single player with a bigger spotlight on defense than Nkemdiche.
Everyone knows what Tyrann Mathieu can do, they just want to see him healthy. Most have given up hope on Justin Bethel and are just waiting for the cavalry to arrive. Nkemdiche couldn’t get on the field in 2016, now he’s a second stringer, but if he keeps winning like this, he could make the hole that is Calais Campbell disappear.
The veteran Rucker vs. the youngster Boehm here; d-line vs. o-line is always fun#CardsCamp pic.twitter.com/2HifoRzom9

Great to see Boehm continuing to grow as a player.
Justin Bethel was the pass break up in the end zone. #CardsCamp pic.twitter.com/Bot2jHGIq5

Speaking of Bethel he had a nice end to practice apparently.
CB Justin Bethel caps a nice practice with two end zone stops in 11-on-11 two-minute drill.

Another view:

NFL Network was at practice and had a couple of nice looks as Carson Palmer hits John Brown and then goes deep to Aaron Dobson over Antoine Bethea:

TD alert! Carson Palmer dropped a DIME on @aarondobson17.#NFLTrainingCamp pic.twitter.com/DhE7seAVlg

Now, to be fair to the defense, I do think in a live game, both of those plays result in a sack, but this is about coverage right now. Palmer’s throw to Dobson was a thing of beauty.
Only injury note today:
Undrafted S Ironhead Gallon heading to locker room with trainer. Hurt his left knee in a collision.
