The Arizona Cardinals moves for Thursday are not done as the team has announced that they have agreed to terms with veteran linebacker Philip Wheeler.
From the team:
“Wheeler (6-2, 245) is a nine-year NFL veteran who has played in 133 games (66 starts) with the Colts (2008-11), Raiders (2012), Dolphins (2013-14), and Falcons (2015-16) during his career and has 513 tackles (340 solo), 6.5 sacks, 25 tackles for loss, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 15 passes defensed. He played the past two season with the Falcons, appearing in 25 games (six starts), including playing in Super Bowl LI against the Patriots.”
Wheeler is being brought in to fill the hole newly signed and then injury settled Tevin Floyd created in the linebacking unit.
Is Wheeler a guy that makes the roster or a veteran camp body?
Who could be in trouble now for a roster spot?
What do you think?
