The worst was avoided for the Arizona Cardinals and John Brown as the speedy wide receiver left the practice field yesterday with an injury.
After a night of worry, it looks like it is just a minor quad injury that will keep Brown on the sidelines for a couple of days, maybe a week:
WR Smokey Brown (quad) out for a few days to a week, Arians said.

That was the good news on the injured wide receiver front.
The bad news came on the form of Aaron Dobson, who has played well in his tryout with the Arizona Cardinals to resurrect his career after flaming out in New England.
WR John Brown (quad) will miss a few days, maybe a week, per Arians. Dobson (ham) out longer

While Dobson’s absence will not be of the same magnitude of John Brown's, it still hurts the team as they try and find their fifth wide receiver, and hurts Dobson's chances of making a crowded depth chart at wide receiver.
We will definitely be keeping an eye on the Brown situation, especially as they had been working Jaron Brown back into the fold slowly, how does this change that?
Who steps up with this opportunity?
