The Arizona Cardinals are continuing to make roster moves, even after bringing veteran cornerback Tramon Williams in last night.
They have also brought in rookie undrafted free agent Jarell Carter from small school Trinity International.
From the team:
“Carter (5-10, 196) is a rookie free agent from Trinity International who was a two-time NCCAA All-American and two-time All-Midwest League selection for the Trojans. As a senior in 2016, Carter started all 11 games and tied for the team lead with three interceptions and finished second on the team with 66 tackles. He finished his career by playing in 36 games (31 starts) at Trinity, collecting six interceptions, 156 tackles, 28 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.Carter will wear jersey #49.”
To make room, the Cardinals have waived/injured linebacker Alani Fua and cornerback Ronald Zamort.
A tough blow for two players who had a shot to make the team.
