Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons 2017 preseason game thread

The final dress rehearsal before the beginning of the 2017 NFL season is upon us for the Arizona Cardinals.

Oh sure, there is that pesky fifth preseason game this year, with the Cardinals taking on the Denver Broncos in Denver, but this is the one that matters in terms of figuring out where the Cardinals are as a team, against the defending NFC champions.

The Falcons will have their best offensive player, Julio Jones, in the game, so it means even more, as Patrick Peterson will get his best workout of the preseason.

This game will also be a nice test overall for the Cardinals defense, as we will get the opportunity to see if they can stop maybe the best offense in the NFL.

For the Cardinals offense, the Falcons offer a uniquely athletic defense, that was susceptible to giving up big yardage last year, but bring athletes from everywhere to try and make up for it.
