NumberFire Predicts 2017 Offensive Stats for Arizona Cardinals

New, comments

NumberFire, an online advanced statistics group, gives us their thoughts on how Cardinals offensive players will do this year.

Even with the down 2016 season, many of the Arizona Cardinals offensive players put up impressive individual numbers. Larry Fitzgerald, the ageless one, led the entire NFL in receptions. David Johnson was one of the best running backs in the league and almost joined the 1,000 yards in both receiving and rushing club. Even Carson Palmer had a respectable season with 4,200 passing yards and 26 touchdown passes.

NumberFire, an online stats website that I have referenced here on Revenge of the Birds before, is predicting more of the same this season.

As you can see from the graphic, they predict DJ will fall a bit short of the 1,000 receiving/rushing club once again. On the plus side, a rebound season for John Brown seems to be in play and Larry is estimated to go for over 1,000 yards once again.

If the Cardinals can put up this kind of offensive firepower and boast an improved defense with pieces like Robert Nkemdiche, Haason Reddick, Budda Baker, Tyrann Mathieu and others, a nice playoff run could be in store.
