Wednesday at Camp for the Arizona Cardinals has come and gone and we had another veteran’s day off for Carson Palmer.
There is also two rookies who will miss Saturday’s second preseason game, as Rudy Ford and Chad Williams are both dealing with minor injuries:
S Rudy Ford (hamstring) and WR Chad Williams (shin splints) unlikely to play vs. Raiders, Arians said.

I am not sure if this is a good thing for Ford, he has to be in a battle with former 2016 sixth round pick Harlan Miller for one of the last secondary spots on the roster.
For Williams, it is just disappointing that he cannot continue to work in regular games.
Arians also said D.J. Humphries (hamstring) will not practice, Palmer a veteran's day off#CardsCamp

D.J. Humphries still hurting, I’d love to see him get 10-15 snaps against Khalil Mack, if Mack even plays, but he hasn’t practiced all week.
Arians: QB coach Byron Leftwich will call plays against Raiders. Another step in prepping Leftwich for coaching future.

Does this mean Harold Goodwin is in line to be the HC and Leftwich the OC or...?
Arians, "About 10 reps" re: how much they got out of John Brown in practice yesterday; "Hopefully we get 20 today"#CardsCamp

Slowly but surely coming along for John Brown. The Cardinals need Smoke in 2017.
Palmer, "Efficiency" re: what he wants to show this week in leading offense for first time in preseason #CardsCamp
— Craig Grialou (@CraigAZSports) August 9, 2017
Agreed... An 8-12 play drive for a score would be outstanding.
QB Carson Palmer said he thinks CB @P2 is having the best #CardsCamp he's ever seen him have. Seemingly contesting every play.

Haven’t heard much about Patrick Peterson this offseason. I don’t expect to during the regular season either. He’ll be avoided until someone steps up on the other side.

That is encouraging.

Good to see Jaron Brown back and moving well. Wonder if he gets any reps on Saturday?
And here, Jaron Brown beats Pat P. Ball from Stanton a little off. pic.twitter.com/8NH3ERk3nD

Even more encouraging that Jaron is able to beat Peterson and get a PI.
Phil Dawson just missed from 28. Panic time

NooooOooooooOOoooooo... (see below)
Dawson made all other attempts. #kickingplaybyplay

Big deal.
Fitz and Stanton not on the same page here and Peterson intercepts. Palmer has the day off. pic.twitter.com/JNTXKQtm5E

Not what you want to see there from Drew Stanton.
I think the biggest thing to take away from today is that the Cardinals need their draft picks to get healthy. These little nicks are not good, at this point they are missing their third, fifth and sixth round picks.
