The Arizona Cardinals have made two moves in the wake of losing All Pro running back David Johnson.
The first was to bring in local product D.J. Foster, likely as a return man to take any burden off of Kerwynn Williams.
Now, multiple outlets are reporting the Cardinals will bring back veteran Chris Johnson.
AP source confirms the Cardinals are re-signing RB Chris Johnson

This should come as no surprise. Despite the belief in Kerwynn Williams and the rest of the Cardinals stable of running backs, CJ provides a veteran presence, as well as proven success.
While he is not the player he once was, he still understands how to run the ball better than anyone else on the roster, it just isn't as explosive as it used to be.
Johnson can get the yards that are there, he just can't create yards like he used too.
Overall, it is a smart, sound move by the Cardinals and their brass, as Tyler wrote about earlier today, the pickings were slim and CJ made the most sense of the options out there.
