The Arizona Cardinals have not made a move yet, but it seems like the team has an eye on improving the punting position.
After a fierce competition between Matt Wile and Richie Leone during the preseaon, which seemed to look like Wile took the job, the Cardinals are rumored to have eyes on a different punter.
Cardinals will pursue P Andy Lee, cut by the Panthers today. Seems a good fit for both sides.— Kent Somers (@kentsomers) September 2, 2017
Andy Lee has been one of the best punters in the NFL over the past decade, with three Pro Bowl appearances and three All Pro nods.
Last season, the 35 year old Lee averaged 49.1 yards per punt with a net average of 40.1 yards per punt.
He also had 18 of his 36 punts land inside the 20 yard line.
Lee has a history with Phil Dawson as well, so there won't be much in the way of needing to get used to working together.
What do you think? Bring in Lee or roll with the winner of Wile or Leone?
