David Johnson could be back soon, but won’t rush it

The Arizona Cardinals running back held his first press conference since the injury.

With the loss of David Johnson, the one question on most people’s mind has been... When will Johnson get back out on the field?

The last couple of days have kept everything clouded in mystery.

It started with Steve Keim’s take on the entire thing on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.:

“He’s doing great, I saw him the other day in the training room when he got back from New York from surgery. Had a big smile on his face and again, my conversation with David, you can’t listen to what everybody says about the length of time you can miss. You can’t forecast that, especially whenever you’re a genetic freak like him.”

This can cause some excitement, but getting the information from the source seems like a better idea, from Arizona Sports:

“There really is no timeline.” “Really just see how it goes. Just rehab, obviously, after the cast (is removed). We’ll see what happens. I’m really just trying to make sure my wrist is 100-percent.”

What this means?

The Cardinals and Johnson are going to give you as much information as you can handle without giving you any information at all.

You got to love NFL injuries.

In any case, get well soon, DJ.
