The Arizona Cardinals have fallen to 1-2 on the season.
It was a beautiful start to the game, with a painful ending. There is not much else to say at this point.
Let’s get to it.
The Good
Carson Palmer - His arm is not what it used to be, but he can make enough throws to keep the Cardinals in games. Which is what they need. Asking him to win games may be too much, though.
Larry Fitzgerald - What more can he do? What more can he give? Thank you, it is an honor to watch you play.
Chandler Jones - Continues to make plays for the Cardinals, even after his big payday.
The Bad
The offense - It is just so... slow. So, one dimensional and has nothing dynamic to offer. It is having to fight for every yard and the Cardinals are doing it, but it is not great.
The defense - No one player is bad, but the unit lacks the juice needed to be dominant. The Cardinals need a dominant defense to be good, they haven’t gotten that consistently outside of Chandler Jones.
The Ugly
Tyrann Mathieu - Mathieu has struggled in coverage, but his lack of effort on a big pass play to Brice Butler was inexcusable. His nonchalant touch of Butler saved a touchdown, but they need Mathieu to be the life of the defense. It may be a lot to ask one player, they just need him to be special.
Offensive Line - Just... No. The Cowboys had six sacks and 11 quarterback hits, most of that coming with three or four man rushes only. It was an awful, terrible, no good, very bad performance by the Arizona Cardinals offensive line, which may negate an otherwise average to good team.
