Is the next Arizona Cardinals head coach going to be in this week? If so, which team will he be representing on February 4, 2018 in Minnesota?
After a rocky start, Brian Flores and the Patriots linebackers helped the Pats defense shut down the Jacksonville offense.
Then there are the Philadelphia Eagles and their coaches.
While we haven’t heard anything more about Jim Schwartz, who for my money has been the best coordinator in the 2018 NFL Playoffs, we do know that the Cardinals want to interview John DeFilippo again.
DeFilippo has helped get Nick Foles into shape to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl.
Maybe he is the man for the job after all with such a way to work with quarterbacks.
Of course, what if he wanted to bring a Nick Foles, off a Super Bowl run, who is under contract through 2021... Allegedly.
Foles has an incredibly odd contract that terminates in Mid-February of 2019 if he is on the Eagles roster. Meaning, Foles would have to be traded to get through the 2021 season on his current deal.
The final three years of Foles' deal void if he's on the Eagles' roster 23 days before the start of the 2019 league year, i.e. mid-February

it makes sense. Team wants a 5 year deal to smooth out the signing bonus, player wants to hit free agency in two years

The Cardinals can interview any of the three candidates this week to try and get things ironed out, but they won’t be able to announce the signing until after the big game.
Who are you hoping for?
