Steve Wilks potential coordinators show loyalty and self-awareness

The Arizona Cardinals new head coach list of coordinator candidates tells us a lot about the coach.

With the Arizona Cardinals addressing their head coaching position, they will now be moving on to filling out their coaching staff.

The names are already coming into focus, much like the head coaching candidates.

The biggest question is the offensive coordinator position.

Who does Steve Wilks want to bring in for the position?

The refreshing thing is, some of the names have little interaction with Wilks as a coach. That shows he's looking for the best offensive mind for the job, not necessarily looking to pay back or help out a former coworker.

John DeFilippo and Darrell Bevell seem to not have much coaching connections with Wilks and are two of the first names that emerged as candidates for the job.

Then, there’s the known candidate of Mike McCoy, who allegedly has a built-in plan of quarterbacks that may include Brock Osweiler.

The three candidates all bring different offensive philosophies with them, which we’ll go over, over the next couple of days, but they all have strong resumes.

It also sounds like Al Holcomb, Panthers linebacker coach since 2013, helping mold Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis into two of the best linebackers in the NFL.

It’s already a strong group of defensive coaches, the names that may be coming in in the offense would make it a strong start on offense.
