Is Patrick Peterson underrated?
The question seems absurd to ask, especially when you look at his career accolades through his first seven season:
Seven Pro Bowls
Three first team All Pro selections
Through his first seven seasons in the NFL, he is in rare company with seven Pro Bowl selections as only Jim Brown, Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders.
Yet, for some reason, many, including Peterson himself, don’t see the respect he deserves:
Through all the disrespect and everything I accomplish on the field going unnoticed, I still smile. That will never change. #Truth pic.twitter.com/pvxLdo29EZ

It’s not uncommon for athletes to believe in themselves, but it’s interesting that Peterson continues to gain accolades and still feels as though he deserves more.
Maybe he’s right. He’s been a forgotten man as a corner for the Arizona Cardinals the last several years. Teams generally test Peterson one or two times a game, if at all.
In yesterday’s Pro Bowl, Peterson snagged two interceptions in the game, doubling his output from this season.
He was the likely Pro Bowl MVP until a late touchdown from the AFV propelled them to victory.
Peterson is a special talent, but do you think he is underrated?
