After a season of finishing 8-8 and out of the playoffs it is easy to lament what was an average season.
Yet, for the Arizona Cardinals, the 8-8 season was a pretty impressive achievement with all things considered.
What is even more impressive is that two Arizona Cardinals players were so good in 2017 that they made the 2017 Associated Press All-Pro Team.
Chandler Jones for the first time in his career is an All Pro.
Jones led the NFL in sacks and tackles for loss, having one of the best seasons statistically since J.J. Watt in 2015. Jones finished the season with 17 sacks and 28 tackles for loss.
It’s not surprise to see Jones on the team, but maybe just as impressive is the inclusion of rookie Budda Baker as the special teams All Pro for 2017.
Baker was one of the most dynamic rookies in the NFL and was the only 2017 draft pick to finish as a first team All Pro.
These two offer the Cardinals strong building blocks for the future, along with previous All Pros like David Johnson and Patrick Peterson.
Congratulations to both Jones and Baker and continued success in the future.
