The Arizona Cardinals have signed Darian Thompson to their practice squad.
FS Darian Thompson is healthy and being signed to the Arizona Cardinals practice squad, per source. Don’t be surprised to see him on active roster once he’s back in football shape. Thompson started all 16 games last season for Giants but suffered a hamstring injury this summer.

Thompson (6-2 211lbs) was drafted by the New York Giants in the third round of the 2016 draft. He started all 16 games in 2017, finishing with 75 tackles, six pass deflections, and an interception.
He was coached by Cardinals’ defensive backs coach David Merritt when he was the secondary coach with the Giants.
Unfortunately for Thompson he suffered a hamstring injury midway through the preseason and was waived from injury reserve with an injury settlement by the Giants.
Now that the 25-year old defensive back is healthy, he will have a chance at making the roster down the road. For now, the Cardinals have added a safety with experience to their practice squad with a chance to be more in the future.
