The Arizona Cardinals may have one less option to trade Patrick Peterson if they so desire. After speculation from Bryant McFadden that Peterson’s ideal landing spot would be in New Orleans with the Saints, the Saints quickly moved to option two, a much lesser trade for Eli Apple.
Saints traded a 4th-round pick in 2019 and a 7th in 2020 for former Giants’ CB Eli Apple, per source.

The Saints draft capital for 2019 is continually dwindling, meaning if they still wanted to pursue Patrick Peterson, they would do so with only a second round pick, a fifth round pick, two sixth round picks and a seventh round pick.
So, they only have one pick in the top 150 picks in 2019 NFL Draft.
That won’t get anywhere near Patrick Peterson, so unless they are moving a young player, Ryan Ramczyk or Marshon Lattimore, in the deal as well, it looks like Peterson getting back to Louisiana is unlikely in 2018.
That means from the known suitors, that leaves us with the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots. A Super Bowl rematch for the services of Patrick Peterson?
