For the Arizona Cardinals, Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers is a big opportunity to get off the mat and show some signs of life.
Of course, in order to do that, the Cardinals will need to have their full assortment of weapons, and heading into that game, four key starters, including three on defense, missed the teams first practice of the week.

The obvious concern is always the health of Larry Fitzgerald. His lack of being at 100% showed on Sunday when he was unable to haul in catches that would have been spectacular, but normal for him.
However, the trio of defenders, Markus Golden, Corey Peters and Bene Benwikere, all missing time could be more important to watch. The Cardinals are not exactly teeming with talent at the defensive tackle and corner positions, and Golden provides important rotational depth for the Cardinals.
Head Coach Steve Wilks said all four players are expected to be day-to-day.
Meanwhile, the 49ers have a laundry list of starters trying to recover from some ailments, including three starters on the offensive line in Joe Staley, Weston Richburg and rookie Mike McGlinchey. They are also missing maybe their top two wide receivers in Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis.
Let’s hope everyone is healthy and ready for Sunday on both sides.
And most importantly, for a Cardinals victory.
