2019 NFL Mock Draft: Arizona Cardinals get help for Josh Rosen in 2 Round Mock Draft

A 2019 NFL Mock Draft for your holiday weekend.

NCAA Football: Utah at Arizona State Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals just lost to the Oakland Raiders, and fans could definitely use some optimism.

Here’s a mock to attempt to cheer you up, while you’re looking for something to be thankful for with the Arizona Cardinals.

Currently, this is the projected order (as of Tuesday).

If you don’t like what I put as our picks, just give it a couple weeks, there is no set list of who’s going where. The only one I know is going top-3 is Nick Bosa, other then that, all bets are off.

2019 NFL Draft - 1st Round

1st Pick - San Francisco 49ers

Nick Bosa - Defensive End
Ohio State - Junior
6’4’’, 263 Pounds

2nd Pick - Oakland Raiders

Ed Oliver - Defensive Tackle
Houston - Junior
6’3’’, 285 Pounds

3rd Pick - Arizona Cardinals

Jonah Williams - Offensive Tackle
Alabama - Junior
6’5’’, 301 Pounds

A highly-touted offensive lineman who’s going to be judged on his height and weight this combine season that will whether Jonah Williams is a top-5 projection, or if he tumbles down some draft boards.

Jonah had the best Pro Football Focus grade for all left tackles this year, and really cemented a powerful Bama rushing offense. He is a very capable run blocker who can consistently get to the second level, and plays very fast off the ball, who shows good lateral movement in the passing game.

Both the Jets and the Giants need line help, and the Giants might opt for a lineman if a solid QB doesn’t come out (looking at Dwayne Haskins Jr. and Justin Herbert). Do the Cardinals really want to risk not being able to select Jonah Williams?

What a treat as well as you don’t have to worry about Williams playing right or left tackle, as he has experience in both while playing in a tough SEC conference.

I’d try to find something for D.J. Humphries, but other then defensive lineman, this makes the most sense.

Fix it in the trenches.

NFL Draft 2019 - 2nd Round

33rd Pick- Arizona Cardinals

N’Keal Harry - Wide Receiver
Arizona State - Junior
6’4’’, 216 Pounds

I have no idea how I got N’Keal Harry in the second round, I tried making picks as if other teams would, and I got a chance (luckily) to select a hometown kid. How desperate does this offense look? I feel terrible that Josh Rosen, Larry Fitzgerald, and David Johnson have nothing else around them, but I remedy this with Harry. Let’s switch the ‘LARRY’ chants to ‘HARRY’, and pretend for a moment that we have a chance at one of the top receivers. A few things factored; D.K. Metcalf comes back healthy and declares, and that the line (both offense and defense) as strong as advertised.

If you watched any Sun Devil games, you’d see the physical receiver dominate opposing corners, and seems to not be as slow as many think. Harry isn’t going to blaze by you, but his speed is no issue. We see him constantly win one-on-ones, and never gets out-leveraged. Lining him up on the outside is preferred, but you could take advantage of his size, and give him a chance against smaller slot corners, like the Cardinals do with Larry already. Something beautiful about this for both the Cardinals and Larry; we finally have his replacement. Harry is a redzone target just as much as he is a down-the-field, stride-for-stride moving target.

Stats: 69 receptions, 1,033 yards, 15 YPA, 9 touchdowns
