Arizona Cardinals have three players near top of 2019 Pro Bowl voting

Despite a bad season, the Arizona Cardinals defense has done enough to have two stars near the top in Pro Bowl voting for 2019.

In what can only be labeled as a down season for the Arizona Cardinals there are still three players who are not only playing at a high level, but also who have the attention of fans around the league.

The NFL released their first round of Pro Bowl voting numbers for the 2019 Pro Bowl and despite being one of the worst teams in the NFL, three Arizona Cardinals are prominent on the leader boards.

Patrick Peterson - Peterson stands as the second highest in the cornerback total in the NFL, just behind Denzel Ward of the Cleveland Browns. Impressive numbers for Peterson, with a trade request under his belt as well this season.

Chandler Jones - Jones is the fourth highest in the defensive end voting, behind J.J. Watt, Myles Garrett and Danielle Hunter of the Minnesota Vikings. Jones is third in sacks, behind Aaron Donald (13) and Hunter (11).

Budda Baker - Baker has been excellent this season for the Arizona Cardinals and deserves the recognition. Baker currently sits fifth in strong safety rankings, behind some names on big time teams with massive fan bases: Jamal Adams (1), Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (2), Landon Collins (3), and Terrell Edmunds (4). The problem isn’t where Baker ranks, I’d argue he’s the best of this bunch, it is more that the names ahead of him pack some serious voting power.

If you want to see the Cardinals represented, do your part and vote.
