Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Chargers second half thread

The Arizona Cardinals trail big at the half as they try and comeback in LA.

It wasn’t awful to start.

In fact, the Arizona Cardinals briefly held a 10-0 lead.

Then it all fell apart.

The Los Angeles Chargers took advantage of the Arizona Cardinals weak run defense and Melvin Gordon went in from 28-yards out on a sweep, then the Cardinals forced a turnover and had the ball in scoring position. Their offense went three and out and the Cardinals Phil Dawson missed another field goal, this time a 46-yarder and it was all but over.

The Chargers went 64 yards in just under three minutes, Gordon scored his second touchdown of the game.

Then Josh Rosen threw a brutal interception on an intended pass to the full back, and Philip Rivers hit Mike Williams for a touchdown.

The Cardinals would then punt and the Chargers went 80 yards in 1:37 and Mike Williams caught his second touchdown pass of the game and the Chargers he a 28-10 lead at the half.

Maybe the most concerning matter is that Josh Bynes left the game with a thumb injury and things just got really, really bad after that.

Let’s hope for a better second half from the Arizona Cardinals.
