Draft Network ranks Nick Bosa against recent top edge rushers, how does he stack up?

The Arizona Cardinals have the first pick in the 2018 NFL Draft as it stands right now, how does Bosa stack up against the previous top edge rushers.

The rage over the next four months for the Arizona Cardinals, should they lose their final two games as expected, will be what to do with the first overall pick.

The consensus top player at this time seems to be Nick Bosa of Ohio State University.

Jon Ledyard of The Draft Network took some time to breakdown Bosa and pit him against fellow top edge rushing prospects from previous drafts in a number of categories.

Ledyard dives deep into each category, and I do not list all the categories, so make sure to take the time to read the full article.

You can check out the full thing here, but let’s take a look at some of the highlights.

Physical Tools:

1. Myles Garrett

2. Joey Bosa

3. N. Bosa

4. Jadeveon Clowney

5. Khalil Mack

In Ledyard’s opinion, Nick is above two Pro Bowl, All Pro types in terms of the physical makeup, behind two Pro Bowl, All Pro types. Not bad.

Pass Rush Moves:

1. Mack

2. J. Bosa

3. N. Bosa

4. Garrett

5. Clowney

The Bosa’s are schooled in pass rushing, they thrive on it and it shows in their readiness and advancement in their pass rushing repetoire.

Final Rankings:

1. Garrett

2. Mack

3. N. Bosa

4. J. Bosa

5. Clowney

This is a special group of players, even before you factor in Nick Bosa not having played a snap in the NFL. To grade the college production and potential upside of Nick as the third best of this group of five, and trust me being fifth is really good here as well, says quite a bit.

Is it Bosa or Bust for the Cardinals?
