Arizona Cardinals vs Detroit Lions second half game thread

The Cardinals trail at the half, can they come back and win.

Steve Wilks brand of football is an awful product.

Now, that doesn’t mean much if you win, but trailing to a bad Detroit Lions team 3-0 at the half at home is not a great way to get people to buy in.

The Arizona Cardinals have 73-yards of total offense today while Larry Fitzgerald was held without a catch in the first half.

The Cardinals had a single scoring opportunity in their seven first half possessions, and newly acquired Zane Gonzalez missed a 54-yard field goal.

Defensively, the Cardinals have done a pretty nice job, but with the offensive effort, pretty nice is not enough today.

They allowed one long drive that they forced a turnover on, a Budda Baker strip and fumble recovery, before a second longer drive by the Lions lead to their only points on the day, a 47-yard Matt Prater field goal.

Offensively, there’s no flow, there seems to be little comfort between Rosen and the wide receivers, and the Lions are selling out to stop the run game.

It’s 3-0 Lions at the half, let’s hope for so more offensive output in the second half.

Go Cardinals!
