For the Arizona Cardinals, the most persistent question of the offseason will obviously be what they do at the quarterback position.
Earlier today we looked at the potential different scenarios and how they could play out, and maybe with SB Nation’s 2018 NFL Mock Draft, one of those scenarios can be fulfilled.
In Dan Kadar’s latest mock draft, he has the Cardinals going quarterback.
15. Arizona Cardinals: Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
This pick is a little tricky. The Cardinals need a quarterback right now, and Allen is the least NFL-ready of all the first-round quarterbacks. His upside is high, though. The Cardinals could look at a veteran for a season or two while Allen develops his technique. If that happens, they have an excellent replacement for Carson Palmer.
Allen is not a guy I buy as a 15th overall talent, but I am always 100% behind a team investing in a guy they believe in.
If the Cardinals see Allen as the answer at quarterback, then pull the trigger. Not only that, trade up and make sure it happens the way you want it too.
If the Cardinals are serious about the quarterback position and do pick Allen, then a player like Josh McCown or Sam Bradford should be on the agenda as well, but Allen would, hopefully settle the position for the foreseeable future.
