For the Arizona Cardinals, the arms race just became more intense.
The Los Angeles Rams are trading for two-time All-Pro Marcus Peters according to… everyone:
The #Chiefs will receive a package of draft picks from the #Rams in exchange for CB Marcus Peters. They are focusing on the final part of the deal right now. But it’s getting done.

One source on Chiefs and Rams finalizing a blockbuster trade for CB Marcus Peters: "This thing is going down today."

Marcus Peters is a game-changer. He’s forced 24 turnovers in 3 seasons.

19 INT
5 FF
5 FR
3 TD
This is a big move in the NFC West and keeps the defending champs at the top of the division, on paper at least.
Peters is one of the best corners in the NFL and with Trumaine Johnson likely on his way out the door, it gives the Rams not only a replacement, but an upgrade.
The Rams are raising the stakes of the NFC West arms race. They now boast the NFL's best defensive player in Aaron Donald and one of the better corners in the NFL.
The next move is to the Arizona Cardinals.
They have the counterparts on defense in Chandler Jones and Patrick Peterson, but they'll have to find answers on the offensive side of the ball.
What do they do to not just keep pace, but put themselves back at the top of the NFC West?
