The Arizona Cardinals and Steve Keim had a plan. The first part of that plan is now executed and following through on that plan is now the next and to be frank, key part of that plan.
The NFL has announced the 2018 NFL Draft compensatory picks.

The Cardinals will add the following picks:
- Third round pick for losing Calais Campbell, pick 97 overall.
- Fourth round pick for losing Tony Jefferson, pick 134 overall.
- Seventh round pick for losing Alex Okafor, pick 254 overall.
That gives the Cardinals eight picks going into the 2018 NFL Draft they lost a pick in the Adrian Peterson trade.
Now, what can Steve Keim get with these picks, because the three players named all had good impacts on their new teams, so you don't want to miss on signing those players and whiff on their compensatory picks.
It also gives Keim a little more ammunition if he wants to move up. Two third round picks this year is a little better than a future pick when you don't know the prospects coming out.
