The biggest names and contracts are now officially off the market… well officially tomorrow at 1pm Arizona Time.
The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms on a three-year fully guaranteed contract with Kirk Cousins according to Adam Schefter.
Kirk Cousins plans to sign a three-year, fully-guaranteed contract from the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, sources tell ESPN.

There are a couple ways to look at this if you are the Arizona Cardinals:
- You never had a shot, even if you were willing to offer the ridiculous five year $145 million $90 million guaranteed contract that has been floated out there. It was never going to happen. Cousins wasn’t serious about coming here.
- This allows you to focus your energy to the 2018 NFL Draft at the quarterback position.
The second portion is the most important.
The Cardinals never should have been in on Cousins if we look at the roster. There were too many other needs to invest in a quarterback at that rate. However, it would have kept them afloat, but it would not have put them back at the top.
Now, the Cardinals can focus on the 2018 NFL Draft and addressing the quarterback position the right way.
