Revenge of the Birds user 2018 NFL Mock Draft: The New York Jets are on the Clock

The Jets made a move up, now who do they take with the third pick?

NCAA Football: Oklahoma Pro Day Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Two days, two picks and two quarterbacks to start off the 2018 Revenge of the Birds Reader NFL Mock Draft.

That’s right, through two votes the fans, you, have the top two picks in the 2018 NFL Draft:

  1. Cleveland Browns - Sam Darnold, QB, USC
  2. New York Giants - Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA

Now, the New York Jets, after giving up three second round picks and their 2018 sixth overall pick to move up three spots are on the clock.

Now, with the Jets up, it has to be a quarterback, right?

The choices:

Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming - The Jets made a big move up, they called the Browns and the Giants, the Colts were the only takers. Why? Likely because the first two have made decisions on their quarterbacks they want. That’s what you all thought as well. Allen seems to be a consensus top five quarterback in this class, he has the makeup NFL teams love, the arm teams dream of and has been successful in a similar climate in Wyoming. It is either Allen or…

Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma - Mayfield, the reigning Heisman Trophy Winner, feels like a natural fit in the Big Apple. He is charismatic, a leader and dynamic player on the field. He can hold up to the bright lights of NYC and can learn from Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater.

If it’s not a quarterback, I’m going to have a hard time being convinced otherwise, but I’ll put two more choices up.

Bradley Chubb, DE, North Carolina St.

Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State
