In a season of transition for the Arizona Cardinals, looking high and low for talent to fit the new coaching regime is a must.
Well, the Arizona Cardinals are clearly taking that to heart as they have added (checks email from team)... defensive lineman MOUBARAK DJERI (Moo-buh-RACK Jerry).
From the team:
Djeri (6-3, 275) comes to the Cardinals from the German Football League where he played with the Cologne Crocodiles for two seasons (2016-17), including last year when he had 12 sacks, 40 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles. A native of Togo, the 22-year old Djeri moved to Germany in 2007 as part of a student exchange program and attended high school in Cologne. He played two seasons (2014-15) for the junior team in Cologne, helping the Crocodiles reach the junior bowl in both seasons and winning the German Junior Championship in 2014.
From a player stand point, there’s nothing I can add on this.
You do wonder if Djeri will work as a defensive end, a backup, to Markus Golden and Chandler Jones, where the Arizona Cardinals are noticeably thin. Although, his listing as defensive lineman is a bit ambiguous.
Although, being an expert interneter I was able to find some highlights, enjoy.
