Seattle Seahawks and Richard Sherman could be parting ways per report

The Arizona Cardinals could see a very different Seattle Seahawks defense in 2018.

For the Arizona Cardinals, a familiar opponent may have a completely new look in 2018.

As has been reported over the last several weeks, the Seattle Seahawks are allegedly shopping Michael Bennett and Earl Thomas.

Now, today in maybe an even bigger story, Ian Rapoport is reporting that Richard Sherman does not expect to be back with the Seahawks in 2018:

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that cornerback Sherman Richard has told teammates goodbye over the past 24 hours and that he won’t be on the team, per sources informed.

The Cardinals are in a bit of a roster transition, so maybe the Seahawks are looking ahead and making that transition now rather than when players decide it is the time.

Sherman is coming off an achilles tear and would likely be less than his normal self in 2018, but it still is going to be a big departure from the Legion of Boom for the Seahawks and makes the journey back up to the top of the NFC West a little less formidable.

Is this the end of the Seahawks Legion of Boom?
