As the Arizona Cardinals continue to turn over the roster, they are looking to add depth at a number of areas.

One key area they need depth at is at the edge position. Whether it is to play outside linebacker or defensive end, we will see, but they have brought in Connor Barwin already and now they are bringing in former Cowboys, Raiders and Seahawks defensive end Benson Mayowa.

Mayowa is soon to be 27 year old who has nine sacks in his five professional seasons. He played in two games as an undrafted rookie for the Seattle Seahawks in 2013, before signing with the Oakland Raiders in 2014. He saw action in 28 games, including three starts with the Raiders where he notched two sacks and 30 tackles in 728 snaps on defense with the Raiders.

Then, in Dallas in the 2016 season he had six sacks in only 381 snaps. It looked like a breakout season, but he regressed in 2017, playing 381 snaps and only registering one sack.

Mayowa is an intriguing player, but you wonder if he is maxed out or if he can build on that 2016 season.

What would you think of the Cardinals bringing in Mayowa?

He would likely command right around $1 million a year in salary.
