There was a special bond between the players of the Arizona Cardinals and their last head coach in Bruce Arians.

Need proof, just look at this story from Bruce Arians celebrity golf tournament from Bob McManaman:

The Cardinals receiver got a little too emotional after an Arizona win at Seattle in December 2016, and his celebratory, sideline bear hug on his coach resulted in a torn rotator cuff.A get-well card wasn’t going to cut it, either.

“Hell no,” Arians would say later. “It’s going to be a get-well convertible.”

“Christmas Day, I pulled up in the driveway and there’s a band new car there. A Mercedes 550 roadster,” Arians said, smiling brightly between bites at the Whirlwind Golf Club.

The only thing you need to know about what Arians meant to his players is that.

Larry Fitzgerald has a lot of money, yes we all know that, however he didn’t need to buy his coach a new car.

What he did was buy his friend, someone he cared about, respected and a man who helped maximize his career numbers a thank you, get well and good luck car.

That’s not an ordinary relationship, but Bruce Arians was anything but an ordinary NFL coach.
