Revenge of the Birds user 2018 NFL Mock Draft: Buffalo Bills are on the clock

Who do the Bills take with the 12th pick?

NCAA Football: TaxSlayer Bowl-Louisville vs Mississippi State Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

With the Arizona Cardinals sitting at the 15th spot, the top four quarterbacks coming off the board in the first five picks and now a run on front seven defensive talent that could fit in with the team, the names that will be available at 15 will cause much contention.

However, before we get there, happy Sunday voting by the way, we’ll take that Saturday off to regroup, the Buffalo Bills, one of the teams that needs a quarterback, will be on the clock.

What else do the Bills need?

But first, the picks:

  1. Cleveland Browns - Sam Darnold, QB, USC
  2. New York Giants - Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA
  3. New York Jets - Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
  4. Cleveland Browns - Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State
  5. Denver Broncos - Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
  6. Indianapolis Colts - Bradley Chubb, DE, North Carolina St
  7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Quenton Nelson, OG, Notre Dame
  8. Chicago Bears - Tremaine Edmunds, LB, Virginia Tech
  9. San Francisco 49ers - Harold Landry, DE, Boston College
  10. Oakland Raiders - Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia
  11. Miami Dolphins - Vita Vea, DT, Washington

The Contenders:

Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville - The most dynamic player in the draft, a similar type player to Cam Newton, a plethora of former Panthers decision makers in Buffalo... May make too much sense.

Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State - Could the Bills take Rudolph with similar types in A.J. McCarron and Nathan Peterman on the roster, or do they see enough upside to pull the trigger?

It’s not just quarterbacks though.

Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame - The Bills traded away Cordy Glenn, they will likely need to take a tackle with one of their two first round picks. Could they take the first one in the class?

Connor Williams, OT, Texas - See above.

Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU - It is amazing to think the Bills made the playoffs last season when you then look at the turnover of their roster. They need receiver talent in the worst way, but is it too soon?

Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama - See above.

Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State - The top cornerback in the class is still available, do the Bills end the fall?

Joshua Jackson, CB, Iowa - Maybe the Bills don’t like the size of Ward and instead want the big, ball hawk out of Iowa.

The other position of need for the Bills is already picked clean, with both inside linebackers gone, but this could be the end of ones “fall” on draft day.
