As the Arizona Cardinals continue to work through their offseason, one position that still needs work on the defense is the safety position.
There are three big names still available, would any of the three interest you?
Eric Reid - Reid was one of the most dynamic, versatile and successful young safeties in the NFL. In 2017 he even played a little linebacker.
Reid has put up solid numbers throughout his career, and last year finished with 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery, 4 passes defensed and 52 tackles in 12 starts.
Tre Boston - Another big safety, Boston has improved each of the last three seasons, especially in coverage, where he was the highest graded safety in free agency according to Pro Football Focus.
Can he continue to improve against the run, where he struggled in 2017, while maintaining his work in coverage? That’s the question.
Kenny Vaccaro - Vaccaro looked like a star in the making when he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints. Yet, he had his worst season as a pro in 2017 and struggled mightily in coverage in 2017. He has astounding ability against the run while also still possessing the adequate athleticism to play in coverage.
Would any of these three be good additions to the Arizona Cardinals?
