For the Arizona Cardinals, introductions and first impressions are important and none were more important than Josh Rosen and Christian Kirk’s throwing out the first pitch at the Arizona Diamondbacks game.

The pair took that to the Diamondbacks game on Tuesday to do just that as they threw out the ceremonial first pitch… together:

It is customary now to see this now, but to see not just Rosen, but Kirk joining him is significant.

It shows how important Kirk is to the Cardinals and the community.

The other thing is, it shows that Rosen and Kirk both understand their role in this Cardinals roster turnaround. They are two of the cornerstones offensively, and in that, they’ll be expected to be more than just great football players.

Look at Christian Kirk and the likelihood he’ll be taking over for Larry Fitzgerald. Now, it’ll be tough to do so on the field, but if he can be close to Fitz on the field and the same type off the field.

For Rosen, it’ll be the chance to be the answer the Cardinals need for a franchise quarterback, something they have been trying to find for… forever.

It is a customary and simple move, but it speaks volumes.
